by CBSE 12th Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the Class 12 Board Examination Result 2026 on 13 May 2026 through its official result portal, cbseresults.nic.in. Students who appeared for the CBSE Senior Secondary examinations can now check their results online by entering their roll number, school number, and admit card ID on the official website.
The board has declared the Class 12 results simultaneously for all streams — Science, Commerce, and Arts. According to the official update, the overall pass percentage in the CBSE Class 12 Examination 2026 stands at 88.39%.
To qualify for the CBSE Class 12 exams, students must score a minimum of 33% in all subjects individually—this applies to both theory and practical examinations—as well as 33% in aggregate. For the 2026 session, the CBSE conducted the Class 12 exams from February 15 to April 4, 2026.
It is important to remember that the CBSE Class 12 exam results accessible online are provisional. And students can obtain their original CBSE Class 12 marksheets from their respective schools
If any student is unsatisfied with the marks scored in the CBSE Class 12 exams, they can apply for the rechecking of their answer papers. For that, they have to fill out and then submit the application form available on the official portal.
Students are also given the option of appearing for the CBSE Compartment Exams 2026 to be held in August 2026 if they are not satisfied with their Class 12 exam results.

Steps to Check CBSE Class 12 Exam Result 2026 via SMS
Students can also receive the CBSE Class 12 exam result via SMS.
For this, they have to first type the message in the format: CBSE12_Roll Number_Date of Birth_School number_Centre number. This message has to be sent from the “Message” application via a “New Message” window to the number 7738299899. You must input your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY. Shortly after sending this message, students will receive an SMS mentioning the subject-wise list of marks.
