In the year 2006, the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (MAJU) was formed after the Government of Uttar Pradesh gave the necessary sanctions. The University is located in Rampur city of India’s Uttar Pradesh state. The MAJU was constituted to honor the memory of one of India’s prominent Muslim leaders, Late Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar.
